About Me

I am currently working at The Everett House Healing Center but am looking for a space to work near my home in St Johns.   http://www.everetthousehealingcenter.com/massage/

  Welcome

imageWhen I was in my mid-twenties I suffered from a serious injury while mountain biking with a friend. I impinged a sacral nerve and had no pain until twenty years later. Through foot massage I suddenly had intense pain after working, living and walking for twenty years with a pain that my body knew I had but I couldn't sense it! Once this pain started to unlock, I was able to finally heal.

Massage helped heal me and got me off of pain management. I was transformed and thus naturally drawn to begin practicing massage myself. I graduated from East West Massage School in Portland and have been practicing for the last two and half years.

I love helping people, especially when it is unexpected. I don't have expectations that I will solve problems for people but when it happens, I am inspired. I know what it is like to have painful injuries held in the body for years and come with a lot of life experience to help support my clients. I use my background as a volunteer EMT/Firefighter to help asses where people are at and get more depth into their body background and make a plan to work towards healing.

I use a blend of Deep Tissue, Sports therapy, Traditional Chinese massage (Tui Na), Thai mixed with joint mobilization and facilitated stretching. I specialize in deep to moderate pressure massage with the intent of reducing pain from injuries and increasing mobility. I also work with gentle unwinding techniques to create a harmonious balance of healing body, emotions and mind.
